2 very well-taken assists, looked so good in tight spaces & is constantly causing the opposition problems. Top performance.”
Another tweeted: “He is the sort of winger a striker would benefit from more. As a matter of fact, Weghorst’s only goal at OT was directly from his wing play. Our current wide men are not really creators. Hope he gets a Prem loan next season. Needs about 20-30 games a season to develop.”
A third fan added: “We have a gem on our hands.”
Someone else wrote: “I have been advocating all season, the lad needs more chances. Has looked great every time he has played. Personally, I like the fact that he is a right-footer playing on the right.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “For a second I thought that was Messi.”
Throughout the 22/23 season, Pellistri’s opportunities were limited as he only made 10 appearances across all competitions, providing just one assist.
In a recent interview with United's official website, Pellistri praised manager Erik ten Hag.

He said: “It’s incredible [to be managed by Ten Hag].
“He has a very good mentality. In the first days he arrived here, he was very clear with his ideas and I think we are looking [like we understand his ideas] on the pitch every match.
“He has the clear idea, he is telling you all the time things you have to improve and I think that’s the way we can get to the top.”
