Fans have noticed that whenever Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies touches the ball against Manchester City, someone keeps on shouting’Oh Canada’.
Heading into Tuesday’s encounter, City were hoping to finally win the Champions League under Pep Guardiola, the European crowd remains the only trophy that the Spaniard hasn’t won since becoming City boss.
Bayern meanwhile are looking to get the Thomas Tuchel era well and truly underway.
Since replacing Julian Nagelsmann last month, this is Tuchel’s toughest test so far as his side take on the favourites to lift the Champions League.

After a cagey start, City took the lead in spectacular style after Rodri pulled something out of the very top drawer in the 27th minute to give City the lead.
The Spaniard cut inside on his left foot before unleashing a rocket into the back of Yann Sommer’s goal. That goal was Rodri's first-ever Champions League goal, having played in the competition with Atletico Madrid before joining City.
However, despite that goal, fans have been left baffled by the cries of ‘Oh Canada’ whenever Davies touched the ball during the first half.
One fan said: “Crying at the one fan at the Etihad who keeps screaming “oh Canada” every time Alphonso Davies gets the ball.”

Someone else wrote: “Love it! Every time Alfonso Davies touches the ball someone starts singing “Oh Canada”.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “Bro who keeps screaming “oh Canada” at City Bayern Game.”
Courtesy of Rodri’s stunning strike, City went into the half time interval with a vital 1-0 lead.
Can City sustain their performance from the first half into the remainder of the match? Only time will tell.
