Fabrizio Romano claims that former Manchester United target Luis Enrique could replace Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid.
According to reports in Spain, Simeone will depart Atletico Madrid this summer after 11 years in the post.
El Cholo, has allegedly already informed Atletico of his desire to leave in the summer upon the expiry of his contract.

Simeone’s glittering 12-year spell in the Spanish capital has been littered with silverware. Under his management Los Rojiblancos have won La Liga twice, the Copa del Rey, two Europa Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups and reached a Champions League final.
While a section of the Atletico fanbase believes Simeone’s time at the club has run its course, the Argentine has become synonymous with the club and whoever follows in his footsteps will have big shoes to fill.
Enrique to Atletico Madrid?
One manager tipped to replace Simeone at Atletico is former Spain and Barcelona manager Enrique.

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, if Diego Simeone leaves the Spanish giants Enrique is the most likely name to replace him.
The 52-year-old left his post as Spain manager last month after the side’s World Cup last-16 exit to Morocco.
Despite the disappointment in Qatar Enrique's management career has been hugely successful.
As Barcelona boss, Enrique guided the Catalan giants to Champions League glory in 2015, while the side also won the La Liga title and the Copa del Rey the same season.

Three years later Enrique took charge of his country, shortly after Spain’s disappointing exit from the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He stepped aside from the post for four months in 2019 for personal reasons but returned to oversee a youthful Spanish side’s run to the semi-finals of Euro 2020.
Indeed, such is Enrique pedigree, he was reportedly an outside candidate for the United job last year, before Erik ten Hag was appointed.
