Liverpool are looking to offer Stefan Bajcetic a new deal, according to a fresh report.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are in desperate need of midfield recruits. The club’s first-choice trio of Jordan Henderson, Thiago Alcantara and Fabinho have suffered sharp dips in form, as well as injury issues this term.
Moreover, fringe players including Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain and Naby Keita are expected to leave in the summer upon the expiry of their contracts.

In turn, the Reds have been linked with a host of prospective signings, including Brighton’s Moises Caicedo, Borussia Dortmund teenager Jude Bellingham and Argentina star Enzo Fernandez.
However, the emergence of Bajcetic has come at the perfect time. The Spaniard’s central role in first-team matters could mean the Reds will have one less midfielder to sign in the summer while it could potentially free up funds for a marquee signing.
Liverpool to offer Bajcetic new deal
According to the Mail Online, Liverpool will look to reward Bajcetic's progress with an improved and extended contract.

Klopp is said to be an admirer of the 18-year-old and sees him as a big part of the Reds’ future.
The Spaniard put in an exceptional performance as Liverpool beat Wolves 1-0 in the FA Cup, before starting in the Reds’ stalemate with Chelsea at Anfield last Saturday.
The defensive midfielder only made his Liverpool debut in a 9-0 thrashing of Bournemouth in September, coming off the bench for a 21-minute cameo.
He later scored his first senior goal against Aston Villa in a 3-1 Boxing Day win.

Liverpool are preparing for an FA Cup fourth-round clash against Brighton, which will take place on Sunday. Bajcetic is likely to feature against the Seagulls, who thrashed the Reds 3-0 at the Amex earlier this month.
