Liverpool, and boss Jurgen Klopp, would not hesitate to reverse a key transfer decision made to sell Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich last summer, according to Paul Merson.
The Reds elected to allow Mane to leave the club to join the Bundesliga giants for an initial fee of €32 million after a hugely successful six-year spell at Anfield.
In that time, he scored 120 goals in 269 appearances in all competitions and won six trophies, including the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League on one occasion each.

The Senegal international formed part of a deadly front trio alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, and also formed strong partnerships with Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Divock Origi throughout different stages of his time at the club.
Since moving on, Mane has scored nine goals in 23 games for Bayern, although has been injured since before the World Cup.
Liverpool, meanwhile, have struggled this term, and sit ninth in the Premier League table.
Although Mane's absence seems to have had a small effect, it is Liverpool's midfield and defence that has come in for most criticism this term. In addition, left-sided forwards Diaz and Jota are both injured.

However, Merson believes that, if the chance came up, Klopp would buy back Mane for Liverpool.
Paul Merson on Liverpool transfer decision
In his Premier League predictions column for Sportskeeda, the Arsenal legend believes that the Reds will drop more points when they travel to Molineux to take on Wolves this weekend, predicting that Julen Lopetegui's side will secure a 1-1 draw in their battle to avoid the drop.
On Mane, Merson explained: "I've been saying it from the start - selling Sadio Mane was a bad decision.

"If he came up for sale again, they'd buy him back in an instant. He was a massive part of that team and he didn't get the credit he deserved.
"Liverpool sold one of their best players for hardly any money and it's coming back to bite them.
"Liverpool defeated Wolves comfortably in the FA Cup, but they need to get going in the Premier League. They played a lot of high-pressure games last season, and it's caught up with them. They're paying the toll with injuries and a lack of form, and they're in a bad space at the moment."
