Jurgen Klopp hinted that Nat Phillips could leave Liverpool in January.
Liverpool are unlikely to bring in any further arrivals this window, despite their dismal position in the Premier League table.
The Merseyside club are ninth in the league, some 21 points adrift of table toppers Arsenal. Yet, their only piece of transfer business has been the £44million arrival of Cody Gakpo.

However, Klopp has admitted there could be some departures before Tuesday’s deadline.
A loan deal for Jarell Quansah has already been sanctioned, with the young defender joining Bristol Rovers, while more temporary moves could be on the horizon.
Phillips to leave on loan?
Phillips appears set to leave, perhaps even on a permanent basis, following the recall of Rhys Williams from Blackpool.

While the 25-year-old is yet to have been linked to anyone, he had interest from Bournemouth, Southampton and Benfica last summer.
When Klopp was asked who Phillips would be allowed to leave before the Tuesday deadline, Klopp said: “It depends on the offers.”
Part of the question came with reference to Williams’ return, with the 21-year-old having already rejoined first team training after his loan was prematurely ended.
The Liverpool boss admitted: “We have to be prepared for pretty much everything. We don’t know.

“The 31st is the deadline day and we will see. I don’t know.”
Phillips has allegedly been valued at around £10million, despite having featured just five times this term.
Williams is now poised to be the fifth choice centre-back, though faces competition from Billy Koumetio, who also had his loan spell at Austria Wien terminated early.
