Liverpool could rival Manchester United and Arsenal for the signing of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to a fresh report.
Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice midfield has struggled for form and fitness throughout the campaign.
Meanwhile, their understudies, namely Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain and Naby Keita, are both tipped to leave the Merseyside club at the end of the season upon the expiry of their contracts.

In turn, the Anfield club have been linked with deals for some of the world’s most sought-after players as they attempt to rejuvenate their midfield.
Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham is said to be the club’s primary target, while Brighton’s Moises Caicedo has long been cited as a player the Reds are interested in.
Furthermore, Lazio’s Milinkovic-Savic is another that could reportedly make the move to Merseyside.

The 27-year-old has allegedly decided he wants to leave Lazio and Arsenal are said to be his preferred destination, according to Italian publication Corriere dello Spor. Meanwhile, United have been linked to the Serbia international for years.
Yet Kay stressed not to rule out Liverpool in the race for Milinkovic-Savic, whose Lazio contract runs expires in 2024.
Speaking to Get Italian Football News, Kay said: “Arsenal have been tracking him now for a long time. In every single transfer window, the name of Milinkovic-Savic is discussed, probably the biggest name in Arsenal transfers, and the one that everybody I trust has told me about.

“This guy, as it was, was on the list. The problem was the money at the time. As a result, Milinkovic-Savic wanted to stay, and he didn’t want to leave Lazio. So he was one of those where I think Arsenal would have had enough money they would have been able to get him. There was also Manchester United who were very keen.
“I know Liverpool are interested in him. I know Liverpool have spoken to people inside his entourage as they are in desperate need of a revamp within their midfield.
“Over the summer, there’s gonna be many, many clubs looking out for him within the Premier League, so I think there’s going to be a number of teams after his signature. He’s an excellent player that teams like Manchester United may need, and well, especially Liverpool. I’d keep an eye on Liverpool.”
