Liverpool are plotting a January move for Konrad Laimer, according to reports.
The Reds’ league form has been woeful this season. Jurgen Klopp’s side are languishing in ninth place in the Premier League, eight points adrift of Newcastle United and 15 from Arsenal at the summit.
While the Reds have undoubtedly performed poorly, they have also been blighted by a series of injuries.

Diogo Jota and Luiz Diaz are out until after the World Cup, while the midfield duo of Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara have suffered niggling injuries throughout the campaign.
Meanwhile, loan signing Arthur Melo has barely kicked a ball since making the move from Juventus in the summer.
The Liverpool midfield is in desperate need of rejuvenation, and Klopp is said to be interested in the services of RB Leipzig midfielder Laimer.

According to Sky Germany, the Reds are interested in bringing in the Swiss international in January.
The 25-year-old is reportedly valued at around £26million, given he’s out of contract next summer.
Liverpool could even agree a pre-contract agreement with Laimer in January to sign him on a free transfer next summer.

The midfielder was a key cog in the Leipzig midfield last term - in 43 appearances Laimer registered five goals and six assists.
This season has been less seamless for the Swiss international, however.
So far he has only made six appearances in all competitions, having missed the opening few games with an ankle injury.
Since September Laimer has also been out of action with a ligament injury. With that kind of injury record, he should fit in rather well with Liverpool’s current midfield.
