Liverpool are 'pushing' to sign Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram, according to reports.
Jurgen Klopp is in the market for midfield recruits this summer, following the departures of James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlian and Arthur Melo.
Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister had emerged as their priority target, and the Reds are thought to be in pole position to land the 24-year-old's signature.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, a move is now considered "imminent", with the Argentina international tipped to become Klopp's first signing of the window.
However, French news publication L'Equipe have claimed that Liverpool are also interested in signing Thuram, who has excelled in Ligue 1 this season.

The report states that a meeting has been held with Thuram's entourage over a possible deal, with Liverpool 'pushing' to sign the 22-year-old.

Indeed, the Merseyside outfit are said to have made moves ‘more concretely’ than others, and, unbeknown to many, have been in talks ‘for a few weeks’.
While Nice are said to value the France international at around €60 million, far less than Mac Allister is expected to cost.
However, the French club 'aren't ready to sell' their prized asset this summer, meaning any potential negotiations could prove tricky.
When asked about transfer rumours recently, Thuram was considered in his response, explaining: “I want to progress, be on the pitch, have fun.

"For now, I’m at Nice, and that’s going very well, I really like the club, so I still see myself at Nice. I am happy at Nice. There are rumours, I hear them, but I’m happy at Nice and I hope to grow with this club.”
Only time will tell whether Thuram, brother of Borussia Mönchengladbach's Marcus Thuram, will be wearing a Liverpool shirt next season, but the latest reports suggest Klopp is eager to bring the dynamic midfielder to Anfield.
