Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Conor Gallagher but there's one significant hurdle they will have to overcome to convince the Chelsea midfielder to join this summer.
Gallagher, 23, impressed with his energetic performances while on loan at Crystal Palace last season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists at Selhurst Park.
Instead of heading out on loan again this season, Gallagher opted to remain at Chelsea and fight for a regular first-team place.

While he has managed 37 appearances in the current campaign, Gallagher has failed to make a major impact.
Like many of his teammates, he has struggled for form and consistency under successive managers this season.
Nevertheless, he has been linked with a summer move to Liverpool, as Jurgen Klopp plans his much-needed midfield rebuild.
Liverpool are expected to sign several midfielders after pulling out of the race for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
Gallagher 'determined to remain in London'
Liverpool would appear to be an attractive move for Gallagher, with the midfielder likely to be handed a more prominent role at Anfield than Stamford Bridge.

But journalist Dean Jones claims Liverpool could struggle to convince the midfielder to move north.
"This is another player that Liverpool like in terms of profile but convincing him to make the move will not be as easy as it is with other 23-year-olds in a similar position," Jones told GiveMeSport.
"Sources are indicating that Gallagher is very determined to remain in London and it would take a big sell for any northern club to get him to move away from family comforts."

Gallagher is not the only Chelsea player Liverpool are interested in, with Klopp also keen to sign England international Mason Mount.
Mount is out of contract with Chelsea in 2024 and talks have stalled over an extension for the 24-year-old, with Liverpool ready to pounce if the Blues decide to sell him this summer.
