Liverpool are reportedly pushing hard to sign Chelsea star Mason Mount in the summer transfer window.
In recent weeks, it has been reported that contract talks between Mount and Chelsea have stalled as a massive gap exists between the two parties.
It is believed that the 24-year-old would like to triple his reported weekly wage of £80,000, which will place him amongst the club’s highest earners.

With just 18 months remaining on his current deal, Chelsea may have to cash in this summer to prevent losing him on a free transfer in 2024.
According to the Daily Mail, Liverpool could take advantage of the situation and lure Mount to Anfield.
The Reds are likely to revamp their midfield department in the summer with Jurgen Klopp's current crop of midfielders coming towards the end of their prime.

Chelsea boss Graham Potter recently spoke about contract talks between Mount and the club.
He said: “It is always complicated, there's always negotiations. It is best that I leave it between Mason and the club.
“It is the best way for that to be dealt with. As far as I am concerned, he is fantastic to work with. He is an important player for us. I hope it gets resolved quickly.”

After coming through the club’s academy, Mount was given his first taste of first-team action in 2019 under Frank Lampard.
Since then, he has made a total of 190 appearances for Chelsea, whilst scoring 33 goals.
Mount got his hands on the Champions League trophy in 2021 under Thomas Tuchel and was named the club’s player of the season for the last two campaigns.
On the international stage, Mount has represented England in two major tournaments, the 2020 Euro and the 2022 World Cup.
