Liverpool are interested in signing Rennes forward Martin Terrier as they look to find a replacement for Sadio Mane.
Mane has been a prominent and important figure in Jugen Klopp’s side across the last six years, but is now on the verge of joining Bayern Munich.
The 30-year-old has one year remaining on his current deal at Liverpool, and the club were hoping to negotiate a new contract and keep him on Merseyside for the foreseeable future.

However, it’s understood that the Senegalese forward is interested in a move away and finding a new challenge, and is eager to join the German champions, who look likely to lose star striker Robert Lewandowski in this window.
Mane arrived at Liverpool from Southampton for £34 million in the summer of 2016, and has scored 120 goals in 269 appearances for the reds. He has been an integral part of this iteration of Klopp’s team and will need replacing.
Klopp has identified Terrier as a potential Mane replacement, off the back of a 21 goal Ligue 1 season for the 25-year-old.
Terrier joined Rennes from Lyon in 2020 and has excelled in Brittany, possessing similar versatility to Mane. The Frenchman can be deployed on either wing and has also operated down the middle as a withdrawn striker.

Not only does he offer goal threat, but his physicality at 6’2 and his technical security will also attract him to Liverpool fans.
A deal between the two clubs is said to be very feasible.
