Liverpool have been handed a major injury boost ahead of their Champions League last-16 clash against Real Madrid.
The Reds have endured a difficult season plagued by injury issues and poor form.
Saturday’s disappointing 1-0 loss to Bournemouth has seen the club fall six points adrift of a top-four spot, albeit with a game in hand over fourth-placed Tottenham, while Jurgen Klopp’s side have long been eliminated from both domestic cup competitions.

Liverpool’s Champions League hopes are also hanging by a thread, with the club having slumbered to a 5-2 defeat against Real in the first leg of the pair’s last-16 clash.
On Wednesday Klopp’s men travel to the Santiago Bernabeu needing to score at least three unanswered goals to level the scores.
While it appears an unlikely feat, Liverpool may have been handed an injury boost that could help their cause.

The Spanish midfielder suffered a hip flexor injury in training back in February.
However, on Monday evening Thiago posted a video of himself stretching his arms and upper body in the gym using resistance bands.
Of course, whether the former Barcelona star is fit enough to make his return to the Liverpool squad for the club’s Champions League clash remains uncertain.
Thiago has been one of many injury absentees for Liverpool this season. The Reds have undergone a series of backroom changes over the past year, with the club's medical department coming under fire due to the frequent injuries being picked up by the squad.
