Liverpool are set to offer forward Roberto Firmino a new deal to stay at Anfield, according to reports.
The Brazilian has entered the final year of his contract at the club, and can negotiate with overseas clubs in January over a pre-contract agreement.
Serie A holders AC Milan have been seen as strong suitors for Firmino's signature, although Fabrizio Romano reported in October that no talks had taken place between the two parties.
This season, the 31-year-old has been in inspired form for Liverpool.

He has netted six goals and provided three assists in 11 Premier League appearances, with two goals and one assist arriving in six Champions League games.
Jurgen Klopp's side have had a difficult start to the season domestically, with Firmino one of the bright sparks. He has already overtaken last season's league tally of five goals, although that was his lowest return in 11 years.
Because of his form, Liverpool are now set to enter talks to keep him at the club, as per new reports.
Liverpool to offer Firmino new contract
According to Football Insider, Liverpool want to open talks with Firmino to extend his current contract.

The Reds are keen to do this during the mid-season break, when the World Cup takes place.
This could be made easier or harder for the Reds depending on Firmino's selection in the Brazil national team squad. Brazil boss Tite is likely to name his final 26-man squad for the World Cup next week, and it remains to be seen whether the Liverpool star will be included.
However, he was named in the squad for Selecao's recent pre-tournament friendlies, with his club form surely standing him in good stead for selection.

In terms of his Reds contract, Football Insider also claim that Klopp believes Firmino can still have a key role to play in the coming seasons. The German boss called him a "fantastic player" back in August.
The forward will be 32 next year, and has now spent seven years at the club.
It is added that Firmino will likely have to take a pay cut to convince club owners, FSG, to sanction the new deal, but this is a contract that Liverpool could wrap up fairly quickly.
