Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has reacted to the news that his Liverpool teammate Mo Salah will stay at Liverpool after signing a new record-breaking deal with the club.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official website, Oxlade-Chamberlain stated Salah has been “big part of the team for years now.”
He also predicted the Egyptian will continue his blistering Liverpool form, revealing his belief the forward will stay a key figure on Merseyside “for the next God knows how many years.”

Salah will help to form a new look front three at Liverpool consisting of himself, Darwin Nuñez, and Luis Diaz.
The likes of Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino, and new signing Fabio Carvalho will compete with the aforementioned stars for a starting role.
When needed, Oxlade-Chamberlain himself can occupy more of an offensive role.
The Englishman was primarily deployed as a winger during his time with Arsenal.

However, where the 28-year-old really wants to play his football is within Jürgen Klopp’s engine room.
Upon joining Liverpool from Arsenal in 2017, Oxlade-Chamberlain hit the ground running, scoring a memorable goal in the home leg of the Reds ‘Champions League quarter-final tie with Manchester City during his first season.
However, shortly after that match, the Brit sustained a devastating knee injury, and he hasn’t looked quite himself since.
With Liverpool postponing the signing of a new star midfielder till next summer, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been given one more chance to impress at Anfield.

He’ll be hoping to provide the goals from midfield Jürgen Klopp has long craved from his engine room players at Liverpool.
Oxlade-Chamberlain will face some serious competition though, with the likes of Harvey Elliott, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, and Curtis Jones all vying for a starting sport in Oxlade-Chamberlain’s preferred role.
For now though, he is just happy to hear he’ll be able to carry on playing alongside his talisman teammate Mo Salah next season.
