Another Premier League club have shortlisted former Liverpool transfer chief Michael Edwards to become their new director of football, according to a new report.
Edwards left Anfield last summer after an 11-year spell, which initially began with him serving as the club's head of analytics.
After numerous promotions, the sporting director role was designed specifically for Edwards in 2018, and he worked closely with manager Jurgen Klopp to complete transfer deals.

Now, after a one-year break from the game, he could make a return this summer, with a Premier League side said to be keen to bring him in.
Edwards wanted by Premier League club
According to The Guardian, Edwards is on a shortlist compiled by West Ham to become the club's new director of football.
The Hammers reportedly want to address their transfer strategy, having spent £160 million on players last summer only to struggle to perform in the Premier League.

It is claimed that Edwards is among a number of candidates the club are considering, with Monaco transfer guru Paul Mitchell also on the shortlist.
Mitchell has been linked with a move to Liverpool or Manchester United, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe reportedly having 'earmarked' the former midfielder for a role at United should his bid to take majority control of the club from the Glazer family prove successful.
Edwards has also been linked with Chelsea and United. Sky Sports reported in October that he had held talks with the Blues, but felt that the timing was not right to take up a role at the club at the top of their football operations.

He could be convinced to join a new club this summer, but if West Ham do discuss the opportunity with the ex-Liverpool chief, it would not be a surprise to see Chelsea and United reignite their interest ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
