Pundit and former Manchester City forward Trevor Sinclair has praised Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott for his maturity ahead of the coming season.
Elliott suffered an injury setback against Leeds United last campaign and failed to regain a regular first-team place, despite making a very promising start.
“Harvey Elliott last season, he started the season superbly well,” said Sinclair to TalkSPORT.

“I was absolutely gutted when he dislocated his ankle. He was playing well and his decision-making was very good on the ball.
“He seemed like he had an older head on his shoulders. He played one-touch when he needed to, then he played two-touch when he had a bit more time and more touches when he needed to.
“Talk about a lad whose decision-making for a young player is brilliant."

"That year at Blackburn must have done him the world of good, so I am excited to see him. And Carvalho, excited to see what he brings.”
Ahead of the new season, whether to start Harvey Elliott will be playing on the mind of Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool take on Fulham on the opening day at 12:30 this coming Saturday, and it could be the perfect opportunity to give Elliott another chance to shine in that right central midfield role.
Not only are they a newly promoted club with little preparation, but Craven Cottage is Elliott’s old stomping ground having arrived on Merseyside from the West London outfit.

The season ahead could be defining for the 19-year-old who will aim to seal a first-team place ahead of the likes of Naby Keita, Jordan Henderson and Curtis Jones.
