Former Premier League striker Troy Deeney has compared Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo to Arsenal legend Thierry Henry following his performance against Manchester United.
The Red Devils were on the receiving end of a 7-0 hammering by Liverpool, and new signing Gakpo was amongst the thick of it.
The Netherlands international opened the scoring, chopping inside before firing a bullet into the bottom corner.

He bagged his second goal shortly after the break, latching onto Mohamed Salah's pass and calmly chipping it past David De Gea with the deftest of touches.
He hasn't had the easiest start to life in Merseyside, having failed to score in his first six games for the club.
However, the 23-year-old has rediscovered his shooting boots recently, with Deeney drawing comparisons with the iconic Henry.
"He is like a young Thierry Henry"
Deeney lauded Liverpool's attacking three even better than last season's deadly combination of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Salah, believing Gakpo and Darwin Nunez to have added pace and strength.

"They're younger, faster and stronger than the last front three. Gakpo through the middle is like a new 2.0 of Bobby Firmino,' the former Watford striker said on Match of the Day 2.
"The three of them occupy the top line. [Gakpo] is like a young Thierry Henry there with his finish.
"The three of them occupy that backline and the best thing is there is always one in the middle of the goal. This is Liverpool for me at their best."
Salah and Nunez also scored two a piece before Firmino came on and added a seventh, rubbing salt into Erik ten Hag's wounds.

Despite a largely poor campaign, Liverpool's win leaves them within four points of the top four with a game in hand over Tottenham above them.
