Fans online have criticised Manchester United's time-wasting against Liverpool in the first-half, with some Newcastle United supporters referencing Erik ten Hag's quotes about their side ahead of the Carabao Cup final.
Man United took their time over goal kicks and corners while killing some time during the match, with Jamie Carragher pointing it out on commentary.
The time-wasting didn't go unnoticed among people on social media as they hit out at Ten Hag's tactics in the first half.

He warned his players and the match officials about their tactics.
"I think it’s a great team with a clear philosophy about how they want to play the game," he said. "The key word is intensity. They do really well. They’re an annoying team to play against, so we have to find a way to win.
"They try to annoy you. We have to make sure that we play our game and we focus on our game."
