Liverpool and Manchester United are both set to hold talks with Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister over a summer move, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Mac Allister, 24, has impressed since joining Brighton from Argentinos Juniors in 2019, scoring 18 goals in 102 appearances for the Premier League club.
He enhanced his reputation at the World Cup, playing a key role for Argentina as they were crowned champions in Qatar.

Mac Allister now looks destined to leave Brighton this summer with several top clubs interested in the midfielder.
Romano claims Liverpool and United will open talks with Mac Allister's representatives soon, with the player intent on securing a move early in the transfer window.
"Understand Alexis Mac Allister and his camp consider summer move as 100 per cent guaranteed. The expectation is for an early transfer," tweeted Romano.
"Alexis will give his best for Brighton until June. Liverpool and Man United will discuss with player side soon."

Romano later added in an update on his YouTube channel: "My information is that three clubs are informed of the situation of Mac Allister; Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

"For Chelsea, what I understand is that it is not a priority now. They know the conditions of the deal but at the moment Chelsea have different priorities.
"For Manchester United, it is one of the possibilities in the list they have for the midfield but it depends on the club's sale and how much they can invest in a midfielder.
"Liverpool will have direct contacts with Mac Allister's people very soon to present their project. He is a player that is on Liverpool's list. This is the situation.
"From what I understand, Mac Allister will 100 per cent leave Brighton in the summer. The player has been very clear on that and something that has already been discussed with Brighton.

"Mac Allister will leave Brighton in the summer and my understanding is that something will happen very early. Mac Allister wants to move as soon as possible in the transfer window."
Brighton will be desperate to keep Mac Allister with European football a real possibility next season.
Roberto De Zerbi's side are currently seventh in the Premier League, seven points off the top four.
They next face Manchester United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup on Sunday before returning to league action against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.
