Liverpool are plotting a summer transfer move for a wonderkid Croatian midfielder who has been compared to Luka Modric.
The Reds' nightmare season has led to several calls for major investment to be made in the team, particularly in the midfield area where the club are lacking quality.
Jurgen Klopp's side are in eighth position in the Premier League and still have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League despite a below-par campaign.

They are known for their shrewd recruitment of talented youngsters and have been linked with yet another in the form of Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Luka Sucic.
He is one of several players the club are looking at according to Football Transfers and has an advantage of a low release clause meaning it wouldn't take much to prize him away.
He's also being eyed up by fellow English club Newcastle so whoever finishes higher is likely to be in pole position for Sucic.
He's 'the new Modric'
It's no surprise that the Austrian-born Croat has drawn comparisons with his compatriot Luka Modric and if he's even half as good as the Real Madrid star then Sucic will have a great career.

He made his debut for the Croatia national team back in 2021 and has been lucky enough to play alongside his hero Modric.
The 20-year-old already has two Austrian Bundesliga titles under his belt and has assisted four in 14 league appearances this season for the club.
Liverpool's main midfield target is Jude Bellingham but they could bring in another future star for a much smaller price and really rejuvenate their midfield by signing Sucic.
He recently starred in Salzburg's 1-0 victory over Roma in the Europa League play-off round and if he continues to perform it'll prove to Liverpool why he deserves to the move over their other targets.
