Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has promised the club will embark on a huge spending spree this summer with reports linking the club to Nico Barella.
The latest blow in the Reds' catastrophic season came on Saturday when rivals Manchester City ran out 4-1 winners at the Etihad Stadium.
Despite taking the lead, City took advantage of a poor second-half performance to close the gap on league leader Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have a huge battle on their hands as they fight to qualify for next season's Champions League.
Their next opponents are Chelsea and they can't afford to drop many more points.
One of Klopp's key transfer targets for the summer is Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham and although the German boss has committed to spending he refused to share whether the club would pay more than £100m for one player.
“I will not answer the question because we never speak about these kind of things," Klopp said, as reported by The Athletic.
“We will spend in the summer, that’s what I can say, definitely. For who and how many and stuff like this, there is nothing to say about that really.

“It’s clear after a specific amount of time that you need to shuffle things and kind of start anew. That is completely normal.”
Liverpool linked to Barella
It’s been clear this season that midfield is the area they need to reinforce the most, and another player that has been linked to a move to Anfield is Barella.
Italian outlet Calciomercato (via The Boot Room) have reported that the midfielder could be on the move from Inter Milan in the summer.

He is considered one of the best midfielders in Italy at the moment and he was even lauded as being ‘the best midfielder in the world’ by Italian agent Furio Valcareggi.
Klopp is said to be a big fan and with a price tag of around £62m mentioned he would be a cheaper alternative to Bellingham.
