A key Liverpool staff member has accepted a role at a top European club ahead of next season.
The Reds announced in November that their Sporting Director Julian Ward would leave the club at the end of the season after just one year in the role.
He succeeded the successful Michael Edwards with the pair responsible for crafting Liverpool's exceptional transfer strategy over the years that enabled Jurgen Klopp to build one of the best teams on the pitch.

According to The Mirror, he has since accepted a similar role at Dutch club Ajax to assist with the rebuild of the club following the departure of Erik ten Hag to Manchester United.
He's set to begin in the role on July 1 and will work under Ajax CEO Edwin van der Sar following the sacking of Marc Overmars.
However, it was reported last month that the terms of his contract with Liverpool state that he can't take up another role within the first 12 months of leaving Anfield so the two clubs might have to negotiate.
Big changes ahead for Liverpool
Losing two of their biggest talents behind the scenes is a huge blow to Liverpool and represents the big transition period they are in.

Thankfully, they have retained the all-important Klopp and although there's been criticism about their failure to recruit a new midfielder in recent seasons, they have still made good signings.
Most notably up front with both Darwin Nunez and Cody Gakpo so far proving to be successful.
It's not clear how much money Klopp will have available to spend in the summer with owners Fenway Sports Group still searching for outside investment into the Merseyside giants.
The Reds are yet to appoint Ward's successor and they usually favour promoting someone internally who already has existing relationships and the idea of the structure the club operates.
