German football journalist Valentina Maceri has presented the latest update on Liverpool's pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
The 19-year-old has been a long-term target for Jurgen Klopp's side as they look to bolster their midfield in the upcoming transfer windows.
Bellingham was linked with a move to Liverpool in the summer, and Klopp praised Bellingham as 'exceptional' last month following his performances for England at the World Cup.

But there will be a hotly contested race for the midfielder's signature, with Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich among those credited with an interest in signing him.
A report from the Daily Mail in October claimed that Real saw Bellingham as the long-term successor to Luka Modric, although the Croatian is believed to want to stay at the Bernabeu beyond the end of his contract this summer.
Liverpool have spoken to the family of Bellingham, as per multiple reports, with his father Mark a prolific striker at non-league level in his playing days.
Transfer journalist Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport that Mark would likely prefer his son to move to Anfield if the opportunity arises. However, he is set to command an asking price of €150 million as Dortmund are currently under no pressure to sell.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Bild presenter Maceri has revealed the latest on Liverpool's pursuit, and Bellingham's contract status at Dortmund.
Bild presenter presents 'gut feeling' on Bellingham future
Maceri explained: "For now, I don't believe he will sign a new contract at Borussia Dortmund. He has no official offers yet at Dortmund.
"They want to give Bellingham all the time he needs to make a decision. For now, Bellingham wants to focus on the weekend, because there is the restart of the Bundesliga.

"Our information is that his father is talking to Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp wants to sign him for Liverpool. But there's also Real Madrid and Manchester City in the game. I think everyone wants to have a player like Bellingham, but these three teams are, I think, the leading ones in this poker on Bellingham.
"Klopp said that if Bellingham will decide for the money, he is not going to choose Liverpool. But if Bellingham will decide on hius personal development as a player, and on tradition, and the love of the game, he could decide for Liverpool.
"My gut is that maybe we could see him at Liverpool."
