Liverpool have been busy this week, not only announcing that Mohammed Salah will remain at the club for another three seasons, but also revealing there will be a new player donning the no.19 jersey.
The young Harvey Elliott has been honoured by Liverpool and given an improved shirt number for the upcoming 2022/23 campaign.
The rising star can play either as a midfielder or a winger and has shown the talent he possesses at an early age.

The England U21 international will switch from his previous number 67 shirt, which he has worn ever since his arrival at the club in 2019.
This change has seemingly been inspired by those who have worn the shirt before him.
The player Elliott has always looked up to, Sadio Mane first wore this jersey when he joined the Reds from Southampton in 2016.
In a wholesome statement Elliott admitted that he actually owned a no.19 Mane shirt as a kid before he played for the club:

“I remember having a Sadio shirt with the number 19 on it as a kid. So to be able to wear it after him, it’s a great pleasure”.
The former Liverpool Defender, Jose Enrique took to Twitter and responded encouragingly to this statement, saying that “Dreams come true”.

The Spanish left back spent five seasons at Anfield, and still supports Liverpool to this day.
He loved his time with the Reds, despite having persistent knee injuries that eventually led to his retirement, and still keeps up to date with all their performances and signings.
Hopefully for the rising star, Ellitott’s 2022/23 campaign will be a lot better than his last.
Despite beginning the season impressively, earning himself many Premier League starts, it ended prematurely due to a bad leg fracture.

Jurgen Klopp is confident that he will come back into form and have a strong season, stating that this young Englishman is a generational talent.
So with a new number on his back, and a promising future ahead of him, Elliott looks to be raring and ready to go.
