Liverpool winger Ben Doak suffered a shocking head injury during the U-19s UEFA Youth League encounter with Sporting Lisbon.
Doak was left splayed out on the floor after a sickening clash of heads with his opposite number, and required immediate medical attention.
The 17-year-old initially looked to shrug off the knock before stumbling to the deck in the eighth minute, where he lay motionless, sparking serious concern from the bench.

Upon regaining consciousness, Doak was thankfully able to stand, but was promptly withdrawn from the field of play where staff could asses the damage.
Unfortunately, the Reds could not get through the game without their star player, as Sporting's second half goal was enough to secure progression to the next round as Liverpool were eliminated.
Liverpool provide update on Doak
Discussing Doak's injury after the match, Liverpool Under-19 coach Barry Lewtas said: "Ben is okay. He obviously couldn't continue but our medical staff got to him quickly. He was on the pitch at the end with the lads and we will keep him closely monitored."

It's not the first time the youngster has been in the wars. Doak sustained a busted lip during a mass brawl following his side's penalty shootout victory against Porto in the previous round.
The Scotsman missed his spot-kick, but was attacked for his celebrations following Porto's final penalty miss.
But aside from his injuries, the winger has been in fine fettle for the Reds' youth teams, helping himself to 10 goals in all competitions this season.

His form has earned him the attention of Jurgen Klopp who has handed Doak two first team appearances.
Meanwhile, the club are thought to have cleared the pathway for the teenager to join up with the senior squad.
The Athletic claim that Liverpool are cautious to not block Doak's route to the first team by signing another attacker this summer.
