His match statistics make for brilliant reading, with Martinez winning all his tackles and registering 100 per cent of his final third pass accuracy.
He finished the game with 96 per cent pass accuracy and won possession five times, completing one block and one clearance in an all-round colossal performance.
Numbers aside, Martinez looked very assured on the ball and showed off his distribution.

"I think it was a really good combination with Rapha and I think they played really solid and that was good to see," he said after his side's 1-1 draw.
"The question is how do you integrate him, but I think he will integrate quite well into the team."
Martinez played 60 minutes before being substituted for Eric Bailly.
A spot in the starting XI against Brighton appears to be unlikely considering his lack of minutes on the pitch, with Harry Maguire set to start their Premier League opener on Sunday.

But Martinez could force his way into the team later on in the season after impressing on his debut.
