Fans are convinced we are in a “parallel world” after seeing Lionel Messi’s celebration of Sergio Ramos’ goal in Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 defeat on Wednesday.
PSG travelled to the Stade Velodrome for their round-of-16 French Cup clash with Marseille, but Christophe Galtier’s men were put on the back foot in the first half.
Manchester United flop Alexis Sanchez fired Marseille into a first-half lead from the spot-kick, only for Ramos to find a PSG equaliser before half-time.

Neymar whipped in a superb corner in first-half injury time and the Brazilian winger’s ball was met with a bullet header from Ramos.
Real Madrid legend Ramos fired his header past a helpless Pau Lopez into the right-hand corner of the net before wheeling away in celebration.
Footage emerged on social media of Messi with his arms raised and jaw dropped at Ramos’ header before he rushed over to celebrate with his PSG teammate.

However, fans still can’t see the idea of Messi celebrating a Ramos goal considering their heated rivalry in El Clasico matches between Madrid and Barcelona.
“I can’t believe I’m seeing Messi celebrate a Sergio Ramos goal like this,” one fan said.
Someone else wrote: “You come back 10 years earlier, you say that one day Messi, he’s going to celebrate a goal from Ramos, there’s a way I’ll slap you.”

A third added: “Who knows these days [would] come. Time travellers don’t even see this coming.”
One Twitter user posted: “We are living in a parallel world.”
And a fifth commented: “Imagine telling ourselves from the past that Messi would be celebrating a Ramos goal.”
Despite Ramos pulling back an equaliser, PSG crashed out of the French Cup after Ruslan Malinovskyi put Marseille 2-1 up in the second half.
