Lionel Messi could join his long-time rival Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League next season – but the boss of Al-Hilal is keeping tight-lipped on rumours linking them with the Argentinian legend.
Messi is expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain after two seasons in the French capital, with his contract due to expire in June. The 35-year-old was recent forced to apologise to PSG after an 'unauthorised' trip to Saudi Arabia saw him serve a fortnight's internal suspension – not featuring in any games, or training.
The World Cup winner is reported to have have a £400 million ($506m) contract proposal on the table from Al-Hilal – the Riyadh rivals of Ronaldo's team Al-Nassr.
But their manager Ramon Diaz, who is preparing his team for a King Cup of Champions final contest against Al-Wehda on May 12 wouldn't be pushed on the Messi rumours – yet nor did he rule out a move.

“Now we are focused on the game; we have a final," said Diaz.
"And after the final, we’ll see what happens.”
Messi has also been linked with a stunning return to his long-time club Barcelona, with a possible move to MLS also on the cards.

"It will depend on many factors," said Barcelona boss Xavi on a possible reunion with his former teammate.
"We must see what the Financial Fair Play rules allow us to do.
"There are many things at stake but I think the most important factor will be Leo’s desire to come back here. Leo knows this is his home and that our doors are open, and that we will be delighted if he decides to come back to Barca. But it depends on many factors.”
