But the forward went by a different name at the start of his stint in the game and many fans might not even be aware of it.
Mbappe came through the ranks at Monaco and hit 26 goals in all competitions in a sensational 2016/17 season where Leonardo Jardim's side won Ligue One and reached the Champions League semi-finals.
Aged just 18, he truly announced himself to the world and secured a mega move to PSG as a result.

But initially he was actually going by 'Kylian Mbappe Lottin' - his official name.
Lottin is a surname which is common in Cameroon, where his dad Wilfried is originally from.
He had the name too but he and Mbappe's brother also removed 'Lottin' from their name.

Mbappe dropped it when he signed for PSG in 2017 and though the reason has never been revealed, it's certainly not done his market value any harm.
Still, plenty of people were surprised when the six-time Ligue One winner's old name resurfaced on social media.
A confused fan wrote: "They used to call him Lottin?"
A second joked: "This lottin guy lowkey looks like Mbappe."
