The presence of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar hasn't been enough to stop Ligue 1 slipping down UEFA's rankings of leagues.
In the past few years it has been pretty obvious that PSG's one and only aim in life has to be win the Champions League for the first time.
The signing of Neymar for a world record fee hasn't really got them close to that target and then they brought in Mbappe and Messi and they....still didn't get to it.

They've already lost Messi, with the seven time Ballon d'Or winner on the verge of joining MLS side Inter Miami, which led to one of his teammates hitting out at the fans.
The Ligue 1 winners are now on the verge of bringing a Champions League winning manager in the form of Luis Enrique to the club.
Whether that's enough to get them over the hump or not is yet to be seen, especially if they don't keep Mbappe for the upcoming season.

The list of superstars at the Parc des Princes has been one of the few things keeping the entire league in the elite divisions in Europe.
However their failure to get past the last 16 in Europe last season, coupled with the other teams not pulling their weight, has seen Ligue 1 flop down the table.
The Premier League take top spot ahead of Serie A, the Bundesliga, La Liga and the Belgian Pro League, with the French top tier down in seventh.

France's teams earned just 12.583 coefficient points last season with Eredivisie sides making 13.5 points above the Ligue 1 sides in European competition.
Manchester City's first ever Champions League success boosted the Premier League into the number one spot whilst all three losers in the competitions were from Italy.
That led Serie A to be the number two side behind England, who also had West Ham United as Europa Conference League winners.
They will only be the second of three winners of the competition before UEFA change its name ahead of the 2024/25 season.

Overall England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France still make up the top five in UEFA but Netherlands are only a couple of points away from Ligue 1, meaning PSG will need a decent season in Europe to stop the entire country dropping out of the top five.
