Real Madrid have set a deadline for which Kylian Mbappe must respond to their offer and have prepared an alternative option.
Mbappe has been a top target for Real since his AS Monaco days and yet just when it appeared as though he was on the verge of joining, he's stayed put at PSG.
At one stage the World Cup winner was set to sign on a free transfer but completed a major U-turn by signing a new deal at the Parc des Princes.
That contract runs until June 2024 (with the option of an additional year) and there are no signs of Mbappe extending again.

According to AS, Real will look to accelerate plans to sign him on January 1 when 2024 begins as long as Mbappe doesn't sign on the dotted line.
The report adds that Los Blancos plan to contact Mbappe's mother Fayza Lamari, who is charge of all his contacts, on that aforementioned date.
They will communicate to the Mbappe entourage that he has 15 days to respond to the proposal and believes it is more than enough time for him to adopt a "definitive position".

The club will not deal on verbal agreements and will instead send official paperwork over.
If Mbappe does not indicate his plans, Real will focus on Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and try and tempt him into joining Jude Bellingham at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Haaland's desire to play in all leading European leagues is well documented and the Norwegian continues to be of interest to Real.
Mbappe's mooted move to Real was delayed and ultimately fell apart amid fears he would anger PSG's and he ending up sending a message to the La Liga club's fanbase.

He said: "Message to Real Madrid fans? I wanna say thank you, as they always accepted me as one of them.
“I understand their disappointment, and I hope they understand I decided to stay in my country."
Mbappe has scored 18 goals in as many games playing for Luis Enrique at PSG this season.
