A Champions League winner now looks completely unrecognisable from his days playing for Real Madrid.
Real take on Borussia Dortmund in the 2024 Champions League final at Wembley on Saturday, looking to win their record-extending 15th European Cup.
Back in 1997, Jupp Heynckes' side won the club's seventh European Cup - ending a barren run that had stretched back 31 years to 1966.

The 1-0 victory over Juventus in Amsterdam played a role in kickstarting the Real Madrid dynasties of the 2000s, 2010s and the present day, with Carlo Ancelotti's current charges looking to achieve further immortality in London on Saturday night.
Brazil international Ze Roberto was part of that Champions League-winning squad, playing six games and scoring a goal in the group stage against Rosenborg.
While he left to join Brazilian side Flamengo earlier on in the season, those six appearances were enough to earn him a winners' medal.

The midfielder, who could also play as a left-back, went on to secure four Bundesliga titles in six seasons with Bayern and received 93 caps for his country.
Now 49, Ze Roberto looks much different to how he did during his playing days.
He has shown his incredible body transformation on social media, and now works as a personal trainer.
He continued playing football until he was 43 years of age - and has previously claimed that he has a better physique than Cristiano Ronaldo.

He explained: "I have no vices. I don't drink alcoholic beverages, I don't smoke, I eat very well, I sleep well. I have my family, which is my greatest security.
"I think those are important factors to reach the age I reached and still continue playing at a high level."
On Ronaldo, he told TyC Sports: "I would say I have a better physique, because I played until I was 43 years old ... If he does [play until then], I will say it is him."
