Real Madrid are considering making a late move for a top Premier League star who has been linked with several big clubs this summer.
With just days remaining until the beginning of the 2025/26 season, it's safe to assume that for many clubs, the majority of their planned business in the ongoing transfer window is finished.
However, for some clubs there are still deals to be done before the window closes on September 1, with some of the biggest in Europe eager to bring in top players in the coming weeks.
Real Madrid is just one of the clubs believed to be eager to reinforce their squad as they look to challenge historic rivals Barcelona for this season's La Liga title.

And a new report has revealed that they have their eyes on a top Premier League player.

Following their penalty shootout win over Premier League champions Liverpool in the FA Community Shield, Crystal Palace has attracted attention from several clubs.
Shortly after the win, reports linking star defender Marc Guehi with their Community Shield opponents resurfaced, with the Englishman believed to be eager to make the move to Anfield.

But it isn't just Guehi that could leave Selhurst Park this summer, as Real Madrid are considering making a move for midfielder Adam Wharton before the transfer window closes.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, the Spanish giants are monitoring Wharton’s recent performances and have been a ‘constant presence' within the stands of Selhurst Park.
However, it is claimed that several English clubs have also been watching the 21-year-old in recent games, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Manchester City also considering moves.
Ahead of the FA Cup final in May, Tottenham Hotspur made an enquiry about the potential of buying Wharton this summer, with Palace reportedly making it clear that they would expect a transfer fee of £100million.

Oliver Glasner hints at potential exit amid Wharton and Guehi transfer links
After leading Palace to glory in the Community Shield, manager Oliver Glasner revealed that there are yet to be talks about extending his contract ahead of it expiring next summer.
"Again, at the moment it's three weeks time to get the squad done, so Oliver Glasner's contract is not important at the moment," he said.

When asked if what happens in the final weeks on the transfer window, both with new signings and outgoings, would impact his decision to stay, he added: "We will see.
"Marc and me - we have the same fate. Marc decides about his future. Of course, everybody wants Marc to sign a new contract. It will be his decision.
"Everybody wants to keep this squad together as it did so well. I don't know how often this happens here at Palace.
"We never know what will happen in this sometimes crazy transfer market."
