Real Madrid have already made their minds up on Kylian Mbappe after claims he cannot play alongside Vinicius Jr

Real Madrid have already made their minds up on Kylian Mbappe after claims he cannot play alongside Vinicius Jr

The decision has been made.

Real Madrid have been very clear on their position following questions over whether Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr can play alongside each other.

Mbappe finally made the switch to the Bernabeu over the summer with the French international leaving PSG as a free agent following the expiration of his contract.

Madrid were crowned Champions League and La Liga champions last season, so the addition of Mbappe almost seemed unfair on everyone else.

However, the 25-year-old's start to life in Madrid hasn't exactly been ideal, with just six goals (three penalties) in 10 La Liga appearances as Madrid sit nine points adrift of Barcelona.

Mbappe has played predominantly through the middle with Vinicius Jr on the left despite it being the World Cup winner's more favoured position.

With the results not coming for Carlo Ancelotti and the staggering Mbappe reportedly getting frustrated with his role in the side, there are serious questions to be asked at Madrid.

Considering the time and effort it took to secure Mbappe's services, it is of paramount importance that Madrid find a way to get the best out of their Galacticos and Spanish radio presenter Manu Carreño has revealed the talk on the inside.

"At the club, they are the first to know that something is happening. The feeling is that the solution does not seem easy and I don't know what magic wand Ancelotti will have, because he is usually an expert in this type of solution," Carreño said via El Larguero.

"The team does not run, does not defend, they are not supportive... and Ancelotti, if you are missing the engine room driver, then you can tell me..."

Despite Mbappe's introduction seemingly making Madrid a worse team, Carreño insisted that no matter what happens Madrid will prioritise their new signing.

"Real Madrid's sporting project will revolve around Kylian Mbappé in the coming years." For this reason, he comments that "maybe a decision has to be made in the summer, and we will see what happens with Vinicius," Carreño continued.

"They are good players and they should understand each other, but there is concern at the club because the solution is not going to be easy."

The pressure will continue to rise on Ancelotti if he fails to unlock his new attack, particularly after the club's 3-1 home defeat to AC Milan on Tuesday.
