Fans have been left baffled by Kylian Mbappe's accent in a new interview ahead of Euro 2024.
Fresh from his long-awaited move to Real Madrid being confirmed, Mbappe sat down for an in-depth chat with CNN.
Mbappe will captain France in a tournament for the first time and look to replicate their 2018 World Cup heroics, in Germany.

They are one of the favourites for the showpiece and will face Austria, the Netherlands and Poland in Group D.
In the conversation with Amanda Davies, the 25-year-old discussed his desperation to claim another title with the national team.
Mbappe spoke in perfect English to the point where it was hard to tell he is actually France.

The clip accrued 18 million views and plenty of people were confused by Mbappe's American twang when talking.
There was of course praise for Mbappe speaking English so fluently when he has never lived in a country where it is the most common language.

Mbappe is France's third highest-goalscorer with 47 and won the Golden Boot at the last World Cup with eight goals - including a hat-trick in the thrilling final against Argentina.
Les Bleus lost on penalties and so Mbappe is desperate to win the Euros and complete a trio of trophies on the international stage so soon in his career.

Speaking after the Globe Soccer Awards Europe in Sardinia, Italy, Mbappe told CNN: “I won the World Cup. I won the Nations League. That’s the only one that missed me with the national team after I did everything with the national team.
“I really want to win this. My first competition as captain, so it’s really important for me and it’s always important for the country and we want them to be proud of us.
“[It’s] another opportunity to write the history of my country.”
France kick off their campaign on Monday when they play Austria in Dusseldorf.
