Spain winger Nico Williams has performed a huge u-turn on his future, according to reports.
A sensational showing in Spain's Euro 2024 triumph in Germany saw Williams become a man in demand in the summer transfer window.
A £49 million release clause made him even more appealing for interested parties like Chelsea, Arsenal, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Spain teammate and Barca wonderkid Lamine Yamal was doing his best to try and convince Williams to join him at Barca.
But at the end of July, it was reported that Williams had made his decision and elected to stay with Athletic Bilbao for the new La Liga campaign.
Yet fast forward a couple of weeks and Ivan San Antonio of SPORT claims Williams has changed his mind.

Citing sources close to the club, he states that Williams has told Barcelona that he wants to join them this summer.
The 21-year-old giving the Blaugrana his blessing to join is a significant boost for the Catalan club, who have not given up hope in signing him.
There are still hurdles to overcome in securing Williams' signature, specifically the fact that they currently do not have the finances to cover his release clause.

Barca are hopeful that they will be able to cough up the necessary funds next week and get the deal done.
Barca were able to acquire another one of their top targets in former academy player Dani Olmo, bringing him back in a £51 million transfer from RB Leipzig.
Olmo signed a six-year contract to become the club's first signing of the summer and now has a €500 million buy-out clause in his deal.

He could well be joined by Williams, who made his Athletic debut alongside older brother Inaki in 2020 and has made 122 appearances for the Basque outfit, winning the Copa del Rey last season.
