Kylian Mbappe is once again the subject of rumours surrounding a potential exit from PSG. But how would he line up in the Chelsea team if the Blues were to complete a transfer?
According to MARCA, the French giants agreed to a request from Mbappe in July to leave the club, as long as conditions were in place. One of those conditions, it is reported, was that the Frenchman could not join Real Madrid.
Naturally, the reports have opened up links to other clubs for Mbappe. One of those is Liverpool, with the 23-year-old telling The Telegraph in May that he had previously spoken to the club about a transfer.
But, given their lavish spending since the arrival of Todd Boehly as owner, a move elsewhere in the Premier League could be on the cards, if Mbappe was to depart France. That club could be Chelsea. And while the Blues completed the signing of experienced striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over the summer, the club could perhaps do with another frontman. Mbappe would be the perfect fit. But how exactly would he be positioned in Chelsea's team under Graham Potter?
How could Chelsea line up with Kylian Mbappe in their team?
Under Potter, Chelsea have experimented with several different systems. These include three-defender and four-defender formations.

Therefore, it is hard to give a definitive answer as to where Mbappe would fit in long-term. However, taking Saturday's 3-0 win over Wolves into account, Chelsea lined up with a 4-2-2-2 formation, with Aubameyang and Raheem Sterling operating in the more advanced positions. However, with Mbappe's arrival, Sterling could move back into an attacking midfield role, with license to drift wide if required.
Given their experience and incredible goal records, Aubameyang and Mbappe could provide Chelsea with the perfect platform to score plenty of goals.

Could Kylian Mbappe fit into other systems at Chelsea?
Given that Chelsea have also used a 3-4-3 formation and a 3-4-2-1 formation, Kylian Mbappe may be required to show his versatility at the club.

However, given that new PSG boss Christophe Galtier has utilised the latter setup this season since he arrived at the club, with Mbappe as centre forward, the Frenchman would have no issue adapting if he was to play the same role at the Blues. Where that would leave Aubameyang is uncertain, particularly with Sterling, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic able to play in wide roles. But that would all be part of the ride for Chelsea fans, who would no doubt be delighted to see Mbappe in action for their club.
