Kylian Mbappe is once again being linked with an exit from PSG - but how could mooted suitors Liverpool line up with the Frenchman in their team if he was to move to Anfield?
Spanish outlet MARCA claim that, as per sources 'familiar with the situation', the 23-year-old asked to leave his current club in July. They also claim that PSG agreed to 'collaborate' over his exit. However, one of the conditions is believed to involve Mbappe not moving to Real Madrid.
Therefore, the Frenchman is being linked to clubs elsewhere. Speaking to The Telegraph in May, Mbappe revealed that he had spoken with Liverpool over a transfer in the past. As a result, Merseyside has emerged as a potential destination for the forward.
But how could they line up with the 23-year-old in the team?

Given the Frenchman prefers to use his right foot, he could fit in on either wing in Jurgen Klopp's preferred 4-3-3 formation. In this system, Mbappe would be able to cut in from the left or provide an equally direct threat from the right-hand side.
But throughout the reign of Mauricio Pochettino, the 23-year-old predominantly lined up in a centre-forward role. This would present an interesting option for Liverpool, should they bring Mbappe to the club.

Despite a 3-2 defeat at Arsenal on Sunday, the Reds lined up in a 4-4-2 formation, with Diogo Jota joining Darwin Nunez up front. Should Mbappe be signed, he could be played alongside Nunez, forming a potent attacking duo.

What system has Mbappe played in at PSG?
Mbappe has played in numerous different systems at PSG. Mauricio Pochettino preferred a system with three attackers, Lionel Messi and Neymar generally operating on either side of Mbappe. This season, however, new manager Christophe Galtier has played a 3-4-2-1 formation in recent weeks, with the Frenchman as the sole centre-forward.
