Kylian Mbappe is set to be named the captain of France, aged just 24, according to stunning reports in France.
The captaincy is vacant following the retirement of Hugo Lloris, who called time on his international career following the 2022 World Cup.
The 36-year-old leaves the international arena, having compiled an impressive 145 caps since making his France debut in 2008.

He played a key role in helping Les Bleus win the 2018 World Cup as he earned 93 caps from 2013 to 2022.
It's claimed that he wants to focus on club football after suffering a number of injuries over the years.

That's according to Get French Football News, who say he's the leading candidate to become the captain of the national team.
The 24-year-old has been a revelation for France since making his international bow in 2017.
He has 66 caps to his name and has already scored 36 goals. He's 18 goals away from breaking Olivier Giroud's record as France's all-time top scorer.
And, of course, he's already guided France to World Cup glory, winning the prestigious prize in Russia.

The potential international captaincy comes after he was promoted to vice-captain at Paris Saint-Germain.
He took the armband in his side's 7-0 cup win over Pays de Cassel.
PSG boss Christophe Galtier confirmed his decision to hand the vice-captaincy to Mbappe following the player's stunning hat-trick.
"I decided that he is the second captain since the beginning of the season, he deserves to have this armband when Marquinhos is not there, because he has decided to stay," he said. "He scored 56 goals in the calendar year.
