Karim Benzema scored a stunning second half hat-trick as Real Madrid dumped Paris Saint-Germain out of the Champions League in a thrilling last-16 encounter.

Benzema starred as Real beat PSG 3-1 on the night (3-2 on aggregate) to book their spot in the next round of the competition.

Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring after bagging the only goal of the game in the reverse fixture.

In the second half, the hosts woke up - in particular Benzema, who carried his team to the quarter-finals.

He levelled the score on the night after capitalising on a mistake by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Vinicius Jr set up Benzema who made no mistake from close range, side footing a calm finish into the back of the net.

The Frenchman made it 2-1 on the night after Luka Modric picked him out with a delightful pass.

The 34-year-old then completed his hat-trick moments later, netting an outrageous finish with the outside of the boot.
