Jurgen Klopp is reportedly exploring the idea of bringing Eden Hazard to Liverpool this month as cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Both Salah and Mane scored in their side's thrilling 2-2 draw at Chelsea last weekend.
But Klopp will be without his two key men for a period of time as they travel to Cameroon for AFCON.
And it appears the German boss is hoping for attacking reinforcements, with stunning reports linking the Reds with Hazard.
That's according to Spanish outlet El Nacional who say Klopp has suggested a possible move for the former Chelsea superstar to the Liverpool board.
Klopp is a big fan of Hazard and believes he could help their Premier League title challenge this season.
However, the board are not keen on the signing of Hazard and are reluctant to sanction the transfer.
Per the report, Klopp was told to forget about snapping up the forward during the winter transfer window, with the board thought to be concerned by the Belgium international's injury woes and match fitness.
Hazard has been strongly linked with a return to England's top flight amid his nightmare spell in Spain.
He's failed to make an impression at Real, with Newcastle United and West Ham United linked with the 30-year-old's services.
It seems unlikely Liverpool will actually snap up Hazard this month, but the Anfield outfit remain in the market for new talent.
They're believed to be keeping tabs on Leeds United's Raphinha and Porto's Luis Diaz.
