Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp responded to Jamie Carragher over the Sky Sports pundit’s assessment in the Reds’ 6-1 thrashing of Leeds on Monday.
Goals from Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez and individual braces from Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota sealed an emphatic win for Klopp’s men at Elland Road.
Liverpool are eighth in the league table and are nine points adrift from the top four, while Leeds are 16th and two points clear of the Premier League relegation zone.

During his analysis of the match at Elland Road, Carragher suggested that Leeds’ mistakes played a massive part in Liverpool’s successful Premier League win.
However, Klopp disagreed with Carragher’s assessment of the match and insisted that his side “forced” Leeds into making such mistakes.
“I think it was the best game we’ve played this season from all different perspectives -- aspects of the game, controlling the game,” he said.

“Jamie [Carragher] I just heard [he] spoke about individual errors from Leeds, yes, but I think we forced a lot of them.”
Liverpool were winless in their last five matches across all competitions before the Leeds clash, with Klopp facing mounting pressure over the Reds’ struggling form.

Despite their win over Leeds, Liverpool legend Carragher insisted that he “can't trust” his former side to hunt down a top-four finish this season.

“If Liverpool play like that and have a consistent run of performances and get anywhere close to that tonight... the fixtures are most games you feel they should win,” he said on Sky Sports.
“But as we saw with the graphic tonight, that’s the first time they’ve beaten someone below them away from home in the league this season.
“The problem is you can’t trust Liverpool and you haven’t been able to trust them since the first game of the season.
“I still think between now and the end of the season we'll still see two or three performances that leave you scratching your head.”
