Former Manchester United player Jesse Lingard has been told that he has ‘flushed’ three years of his career away by ex Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan.
Lingard left United at the end of the 21/22 season after spending 11 years at the Old Trafford club. During his time with the Red Devils Lingard lifted the FA Cup, League Cup and the Europa League.
The midfielder famously scored the winning goal in the 2016 FA Cup final against Palace at Wembley. In total, the midfielder has made 232 appearances for United, scoring 35 times.

On the international stage, Lingard has had a decent time with England so far, he has scored six goals in 32 appearances. With his most memorable moment coming in the 2018 World Cup when he scored a fantastic strike against Panama.
However, towards the end of his time at United, the 29-year-old was often criticised for his performances, his goal celebrations and his off field interests that includes a clothing brand and TikTok videos.
He was loaned out to West Ham in 2021, during his time with the Hammers, Lingard was in great form, in 16 appearances for the club he scored nine times.

Despite being one of the most talented players to come out of United, Jordan believes Lingard has wasted the last few years of his career.
He told talkSPORT: “He has taken three years of his career and flushed it because he's not accepted that he's not really regarded highly enough at Man United to get in their team.”
“He had an opportunity to go to West Ham and he's made it about finances. He's run down his contract so he can leave on a free contract because he knows that will put his wage packet on a certain level.”
Jordan added: “Jesse Lingard will be remembered, for me, for TikTok videos.”

Since his departure from United, Lingard has been linked with moves to other Premier League clubs including Everton, Newcastle and a possible return to West Ham. According to ESPN, two MLS clubs are looking to lure Lingard to the US. The terms being offered to Lingard have been described as ‘ground breaking’ deals.
It remains to be seen where Lingard will be playing when the new season gets underway, but with the World Cup kicking off later this year, he will hope to impress Gareth Southgate in order to earn a place back in the England squad.
