Jamie Carragher was very impressed with Jacob Ramsey's match-winning display for Aston Villa on Friday night.
The England Under 21 international was instrumental in the home side's 1-0 win over Southampton at Villa Park, turning the ball home from close range to earn Steven Gerrard his second league win of the season.
It's been a tough start to the new campaign for Villa, who previously waited a month for a Premier League victory.

As for Ramsey, who starred on Friday night (17 September), Carragher believes the 21-year-old might soon be ready for European football.
The Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool defender said after the game: “I love him...He's a super player."
"He doesn't look like a young kid playing in a man's game. When you think of the game against Man City, I thought it was interesting that he played as part of the front three, and tonight he played in midfield.

He added: “I spoke to Gary McAllister before the game, I said to him: 'How good is Ramsey?' And he said he can go right to the top. "We're talking about international honours and playing in the Champions League. I think he can certainly play at that level in the next couple of years.”
The young Brummie first broke into the Villa side back in 2019, with him since going onto to play a further 63 times for the Midlands club.
Having featured seven times for England U21, there is a strong clamour for Gareth Southgate to hand the midfielder his first senior cap.

While Ramsey missed out on the latest England squad to be named last week, there were some surprise inclusions.
Chief among them was Ivan Toney, the Brentford forward who has scored five goals already this season in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old could make his England debut against European champions Italy next week.
Meanwhile, there are calls for Toney's club teammate Rico Henry to also be included in future Three Lions squad, having impressed for The Bees of late.
Speaking on talkSPORT, former Arsenal star Perry Groves backed Rico Henry to be given a chance in light of first choice Left-backs getting injured.
"We're struggling with left-back positions at the moment with Chilwell getting left out last night and Shaw's been injured," Groves said on the radio.

"Rico Henry has never ever been mentioned as getting anywhere near the England squad."
