Harry Kane has been heavily linked with a transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to Manchester United - but the future of a former Arsenal starlet could ultimately decide his next move.
According to The Telegraph, United have launched initial moves to attempt to sign Kane this summer - and there appears to be a real possibility that he may no longer be a Tottenham player by the end of the upcoming window.
The England international's contract expires in 2024, with The Athletic reporting that initial talks between club and player have begun over an extension.

But an agreement is yet to be reached, and Fabrizio Romano told The United Stand that Tottenham will need to put an attractive project on to the negotiating table to have a chance of keeping the 29-year-old at the club.
The Telegraph report, meanwhile, claims that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will demand bids of at least £100 million from English clubs for his star player.
There are clubs from overseas monitoring the striker, with PSG and Bayern Munich both credited with an interest in completing a deal.

Bayern will be in the market for a new centre forward this summer, several club chiefs have confirmed, with the hierarchy pinpointing the injury absence of recognised striker Eric Choupo-Moting in recent weeks as a reason behind their drop in form.
But it is the future of one of his Bayern team-mates that could decide whether Kane moves to the Allianz Arena.
Could Kane join Bayern?
The German giants have refused to rule out big spending this summer, but have hinted that they are reluctant to splash out on a nine-figure sum to sign England's record goalscorer.

Speaking earlier this month, the club's chief financial officer, Dr Michael Diederich, said (quotes via Goal): "I don't rule anything out but can we afford such a transfer and do we want such a transfer? We have to keep an eye on our profitability."
Player sales could be one way in which Bayern can raise the funds for Kane, with a number of first team players potentially available for transfer this summer.
Forward Serge Gnabry is one player that could depart the Allianz Arena. German outlet Abendzeitung (via iMiaSanMia) claim that the German international and Sadio Mane are candidates for a possible sale.

Gnabry signed a new long-term contract with Bayern last summer, but has not been a regular starter since returning from the World Cup and struggled in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final clash against Manchester City.
As a former Arsenal starlet who was sold to Werder Bremen in 2016, it would perhaps be ironic if a sale of Gnabry resulted in Bayern being able to launch a successful move for Tottenham's star player.
As per Transfermarkt, the 27-year-old's current valuation is €55 million - although Fabrizio Romano claims in his Daily Briefing that no talks have yet been held over a potential transfer for the wide forward.
But with reported interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea, it is certainly a transfer saga that could ignite upon the opening of the summer window.
