Hakim Ziyech has been left 'upset' and even texted Chelsea owner Todd Boehly over his failed transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.
Ziyech was expected to complete a move away from Chelsea on transfer deadline day after starting just four Premier League games this season.
Newcastle United and Everton had expressed an interest in keeping the left-footed winger in England's top flight.

PSG then came knocking for the 29-year-old and agreed personal terms over a loan deal.
But the proposed switch to the French giants dramatically collapsed on deadline day.
Widespread reports in France claim that the Blues sent the incorrect documents to PSG on THREE occasions, holding up the deal.
The Morocco international, who starred at the 2022 World Cup, was in Paris ahead of being unveiled as a PSG player.

He will now return to London and finish the season at Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports, Ziyech became so desperate to secure his move to PSG, he sent text messages to Boehly in an attempt to revive the transfer.
The Daily Telegraph also state that he has been left 'upset' over the failed transfer on deadline day.

It appeared Chelsea were open to offloading Ziyech, having snapped up Mykhailo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk for a whopping £88.5 million.
But he will now have to spend the rest of the 2022/23 campaign at Chelsea and misses out on linking up with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi.
Ziyech, who has made just 10 league appearances this season, should be available for Graham Potter as they resume their campaign at home to Fulham on Friday.

Chelsea, who lost to Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage last month, are in need of points as they languish in 10th place in the table.
They're 10 points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, but would overtake Fulham with a win at Stamford Bridge.
