Gary Neville has called on Manchester United fans to stop 'bullying' Harry Maguire, after the centre back was confirmed as captain for next season.
Maguire has come under fire a lot of times in the past year or so, especially when it comes to his captaincy of United, with lots of people thinking Cristiano Ronaldo should have the armband.

The issue became such a hot topic that even Bayern Munich full back Alphonso Davies got involved on a live stream, in a brutal assessment of Maguire.
United's dressing room became split between Maguire and Ronaldo, although the latter saying he wants to leave the club now means teammates might not be on his side so much.
On Monday, Erik ten Hag said that the former Leicester City man will be the captain for the coming season with Neville taking to Twitter to reveal his agreement with the decision.
The Sky Sports pundit then got plenty of criticism, for simply agreeing with the decision by Ten Hag, and then found himself defending the former Ajax boss.

"Sorry to inform you it’s a Dutch manager that’s selected him as captain not an English Clown," Neville said in response to someone claiming he was biased because of Maguire's nationality.
The former United right back then said fans should stop 'bullying' the 29-year-old, adding, "So the same United fans fuming with me for applauding the decision to keep Maguire as captain seem to be without knowing criticising the new manager for his decision.
"Maybe support Maguire and stop bullying him on here! The new manager obviously likes him."
And when another fan then claimed the world's most expensive ever defender "doesn't have the backbone," Neville simply said "Erik ten Hag obviously thinks he does."

If Neville wants the bullying of the United captain to go away then he may need to talk to fellow Sky pundit, and former teammate, Roy Keane.
The Irishman isn't one for sugar coating his words and he was recently accused of being 'too personal' when it came to criticism of Maguire.
Critics of the defender will certainly get the chance to put him under the microscope now that he's keeping the armband once again.
