Footage has re-emerged of France players singing about Lionel Messi in their World Cup celebrations after Kylian Mbappe was mocked by Argentina.
Despite scoring a hat-trick in the World Cup final at the Lusail Stadium on Sunday, Mbappe has been subjected to some quite brutal trolling from Argentina.
A lot of it has come from Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, who asked for a "moment of silence" for Mbappe in the dressing room after helping Argentina to a third World Cup triumph.

Then, at the parade, he was seen holding a baby toy which had Mbappe's face on it. Some people have not been best pleased by the antics and called out Messi for not saying anything about the trolling of his club teammate.
However, others claim that it's double standards giving Messi's name was mentioned by the France players when they won the World Cup four years ago.
During the special celebrations at the Stade de France, France players were singing their song about N'Golo Kante, the shy midfield dynamo who was a key part of their success.

It continues a line referring to Kante "stopping" Messi, who he came up against in France's 4-3 win in the round of 16.
Translated, the song says, "He's little, he's sweet, he stopped Leo Messi".
The video has been doing the rounds again on social media, with some viewing it as bringing about "karma".
One user wrote: "Remember when the whole French team made fun of Messi in 2018? Yeah! Mbappe deserves to be mocked by Emi. Karma is a b1tch!"

Another added: "Fr (for real) and Messi wasn’t even relevant they beat him in the round of 16."
Replying to a tweet about Piers Morgan asking about Messi saying silent over Mbappe, one fan said: "Because Mbappe didn't stop his whole team from mocking and humiliating Messi."
A fourth commented: "This is what I called a perfect revenge defeating france in finals for the loss in RO16 in 2018."
However, plenty of people feel as though the two things aren't comparable and that France were actually praising Messi.

"If anything, this is a testament to how great they think Messi is lmao," was the view from one fan on social media.
It hasn't just been players going after Mbappe, though. Fans of Argentina went a little too far the parade by burning a coffin with his face on.
