The France legend has named his third favourite player.

Zinedine Zidane has previously named his third favourite player to watch live after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Zidane will go down in history as one of the best midfielders to play the game, having played for the likes of Cannes, Bordeaux, Juventus and Real Madrid during his illustrious career.

The Frenchman has also lifted the UEFA Super Cup, La Liga and the Champions League among other trophies.

After retiring, Zidane became a successful manager when he led Madrid to a hat-trick of Champions Leagues during his time in charge of Los Blancos.

Back in 2015, Zidane revealed that Eden Hazard was his favourite player after Ronaldo and Messi.

As reported by TNT Sports, the Frenchman said: “After Ronaldo and Messi, Hazard is my favourite player. It is spectacular to watch him play.

“If I see him playing for Real Madrid? I can only say I love the player. I have no doubt he will soon recover his form.”

One of the biggest talents of his generation, Hazard started his career with French side Lille before making a move to the Premier League by joining Chelsea in 2012.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, Hazard became one of the best players in the world and attracted interest from La Liga giants Madrid.

In 2019, Hazard left Chelsea for Madrid in a deal worth a reported fee of €100 million.

However, Hazard’s time in Spain was badly hampered by multiple injury problems, which led to a major dip in form.

Overall, his transfer was seen as a failure as he struggled to rediscover the kind of form he showed while he was a Chelsea player.

After leaving Madrid in the summer of 2023, Hazard announced his retirement in October of that year, at the age of 32.

In total, the Belgian made 635 club appearances across all competitions, scoring 168 goals. On the international stage, Hazard was capped 126 times by his country, scoring 33 goals in the process.
